VACATION BOOKED !!!!

We did it !!! We booked our first real vacation in 10 years today !!! I have the vacation booked, the rental car taken care of, now all I need to get are the passports.

We will be leaving December 26th for Fort Lauderdale (2 days), then on to a 2 day cruise to the Bahamas, 1 day back in Fort Lauderdale, then on to Orlando for 2 more days !!!!

So far we are going to swim with the Manatees, go Croc hunting on an air boat and stop at Miami Ink.

We'll be there for New Years Eve - so I have that to plan yet too.

YEA!!!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon...

We are heading to New Paltz, New York over the Labor Day weekend...

Justin has been wanting to show us were he lives - so we're heading over. We weren't able to get reservations where he works, so we will be close and then go see where he spends most of his days. I am looking online for white water rafting companies. Justin said he was up for it, so we'll drag Kevin along...lol.

We'll start out on Sat evening and stay until Monday late morning. I will squeeze all I can in those days. Kevin and I figured we'll take our time coming home and stop were ever something looks interesting.

Potted Garden

We are excited the vegetables are starting to grow !!! I was watering the plants the other night and broke off our Zucchini. So....it's dinner tonight. The Red and Yellow Peppers were put in late, so we don't have any growing yet, but hopefully soon.

Kevin loves to relax at night by fussing on his plants. Tomatoes are coming just not very big yet.

Justin is coming home !!

Justin called the other night and said he was coming home on the 14th.

He's a Chef at the Mohonk Mountain Resort in New Paltz, New York. (Picture at the side). He has a vacation and will be heading home for a little while.

An Evening on the Patio

Kevin and I were sitting on the Patio, just discussing the day. He gave the girls a treat and I realized I could get a picture of them together.

Missy (the Great Dane) is VERY social. She took her treat and went and laid by Sasha. Sasha usually gets up and moves away from her, but this time she stayed.

Our Pet Roll Call...

I just realised most don't know all of our pets...

This is Sasha, she's an 8 year old German Shepard Mix. I picked a picture that she still had fur. For summer I shave her....boy does she LOVE being shaved. She's like a puppy again.

Missy will be 2 years old in August. She's a Great Dane. A little warning - if your ever at my house - she thinks she's a lap dog. To her - an empty lap is for her.


This is Willy. He LOVES to be talked to - but don't dare touch him. He likes his personal space.

This is Big Guy. He's an African Gray Congo. He talks up a storm - once he's comfortable with you he's is non-stop. He includes the telephone ringing, answers it talks and says good-bye. Though, he's like having a 4 year old in the house. He repeats everything you don't want him to.

This is Peanut. I told Ashley no more pets and a boy friend bought her him for a graduation present....what could I say but...

Hello !!

I am excited to say - I DID NOTHING ALL DAY YESTERDAY!!!

I didn't sleep in, but I went to bed VERY early. I thought I heard the Rural Valley Fire Works at some point last night...but I didn't move. I am feeling so much better today.

We are open today until 4:00 - Kevin has plans, so I am on my own tonight. I think I'm going to pick up take out, rent a movie and enjoy another quiet night at home. I guess that's if my "girls" are into just chilling another night.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY !!!!

I know I'm early, but we have been so busy here at work. Tomorrow, I expect to get hit pretty hard before we close. We're closing at 4:00, closed Friday, open Sat with closing at 4:00, then closed Sunday. It's a pretty odd week for us.
